To my Dear Reef,
It has been a blessing to have been a teacher at Coral Reef for the last 20 years of my career. Today marks 35.5 years of my Theatre Teaching career, and this morning I was like where has time gone?? If you know my story, I was never planning to be a teacher, but it was my destiny. I do not regret one moment of my career.
Coral Reef has been my home away from home and you know that there have been many days I have spent more time in this building than at my own home, but I have no regrets.
Thank you to all who participated and came out to the Celebration last night. It is still surreal. The love and the hard work that it took to put the showcase together is just beyond anything I ever expected.
It was great to see my alumni all the way back to my first group of Thespians, back in 1982! Oh No…I just dated myself.
It was so incredibly amazing to spend time with former students, former co-workers, former administrators, and even Dr.. Feldman, who came out, some from out of state, to celebrate this moment with me. It was just wonderful!
I have made some amazing friendships here at the Reef and those will continue forever. I will miss seeing all your faces everyday but we will see each other really soon. It has been an honor!
