Mariana Bravo is a Junior in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Academy. Born and raised in Bogota, Colombia, she moved to the US in 2010 and has developed a love for the immersion of cultures and differences she is able to experience living here in Miami. She accredits her learning English to her extensive love of reading, and constantly finds herself turning to writing as a form of letting out all her thoughts and emotions. As a writer and editor for Baitline’s Creative Writing section, as well as Secretary for the Club, she hopes to expand her abilities as a writer and a leader and to truly explore all the possibilities the world of journalism may bring her. In the future she hopes to continue making a fool of herself in every sense of the word, but also to keep working hard and exploring her passions to the extent of her abilities. She is hoping for a great year, both as a student and as a writer, and could not be more excited to partake in the exorbitantly wonderful experience that is Baitline. That is, of course, her completely formal and unbiased journalistic opinion.
